Theses Arms Are Snakes call it a day

What a big fat bummer. Theses Arms Are Snakes have announced that they have officially called it quits. They have spent the last 8 years consistently impressing the hell out of everyone that has come across their original sound and they will be truly missed.

Walter Schreifels (Quicksand) to release solo record in April

That is right, boys and girls, good ol' Walter Schreifels from the legendary Quicksand, is set to release a solo record in April. Academy Fight Song will release An Open Letter To The Scene here in the states with Big Scary Monsters picking up the reins in the UK. To tide you over for a bit, Schreifels has already recorded a video for the track "Arthur Lee's Lullaby", which is a very satisfying gem if you ask me.

She & Him. Volume Two. March 23.

Okay, so I will admit that I was not too keen on She & Him's first release Volume One. However, I absolutely adore Zooey Deschanel (both as a musician and actor) and believe M. Ward to be a musical genius so I will let the first record slide. Their follow-up Volume Two features eleven original tracks and two covers "Ridin' In My Car" by NRBQ and Skeeter Davis' "Gonna Get Along Without You Now."

The tracklisting is as follows:

1. Thieves
2. In the Sun
3. Don't Look Back
4. Ridin' in My Car
5. Lingering Still
6. Me and You
7. Gonna Get Along Without You Now
8. Home
9. I'm Gonna Make It Better
10. Sing
11. Over It Over Again
12. Brand New Shoes
13. If You Can't Sleep
